Macbook password issue.

I'm sure this problem has been addressed many times before, but I'm new to Macs and I would really like some help.

Quite simply, my friend lent me his 2009 Macbook that he hadn't used for about three years. Sadly, he doesn't remember the admin password at all and I'm not sure what to do. I don't mind getting rid of all of the saved data if I have to because it's not my stuff. It's just frustrating that I can't do that much on this laptop simply because I don't have the password.

So, yeah, if someone can help me soon as possible and it would be very appreciated.

Use the DVD that came with it and Reset the Password. No other solution.

I don't have the DVD that came with it. Are you sure there's no other way to reset?
