As ZumoCast has vanished from App Store for some reason, it seems that we have to turn to the paid app Air Video for streaming videos. Luckily, today a found an excellent replacement of ZumoCast which has been put on App Store just couple of days, it’s called Air Playit. This app is free, worth keeping.   App features: It contains two parts: a server on PC/Mac and the client on iDevices. Users can stream videos to iPhone iPad iPod touch from PC/Mac hard drive via Wi-Fi, 3G even 4G. (The quality is as good as with ZumoCast, if not better.) Download the server and client from: http://www.airplayit.com/ Then run Air Playit on iPhone iPad or iPod touch, it will automatically search the server via Wi-Fi or 3G. Then add the server to your server list on iDevices. Click it and you’ll see all your shared files. Now you can play any video/audio as you like. Easy! Personal experience: watch Avatar on iPhone 4 Avatar.2010. 1080p.MKV video: 1280 Kbit/s audio: 256 Kbit/s It’s very smooth and clear. |
