PowerMac G5

I've been using a Mac Mini for some time. Doing fine. Recently bought a used PowerMac G5 Dual 2.3 powerpc for my daughter. It has a "Stock DVD CD Burner"... BUT, I can't get it to open so that I can insert a disk! The "private seller" won't help or respond to my voice mail questions. Using OS X 10.2.8. The front panel has a "drive cover looking" aluminum plate but I don't know how to open it.

Hi davestates, if your using an Apple full board on your numerical part of the key board top row right is the key to open/close your DVD player.
To remove the front panel the release lever that lifts up its on the side where all your cable connections are.
