Quark 4.0 eps issue

I am using quark 4.0 and when i save a file to eps and open it using illustrator 8.0--( i know these are old programs but they have been and still are working for me. ) anyway when i open eps (to create an outline to send out to print) there will always be one portion of some of the type that will move to somewhere on the layout. I have been told this is a glitch but i am looking for some kind of fix.
