Wireless connect

I have a MiniMac running O SX10.4.11 and I want to set up a wireless connection to a Dell Latitude D600 running Windows XP. I have used the Wireless Network Setup Wizard on the Dell, without a flash drive, and I have my network settings from the Mac. They include PPoE, B1 number, IP address, but I can't seem to get connectivity. The Dell does pick up a wireless signal but I can't connect to it.
