Should be an easy one.

Need to recover iTunes from a backup. (Not the music, that's all OK) When I just copy the app across from the backup, it wont open, gives me the following error:

"The iTunes application could not be opened. A required iTunes component is not installed. (-42404)"

MacOS is 10.4.11; PPC G5; version of iTunes is the last one that works for MacOS 10.4.

I'm assuming I need some preferences or library catalog file or something.... Any ideas?

Thanks

ihamp

PS: The two most obvious solutions wont work either:

I can't just reinstall iTunes from my MacOS install disk then download all the updates as "Software Updates" somehow knows I have previously had the later version installed and won't update it.

I can't just reinstall iTunes from a new download from Apple either, because the version on their site doesnt handle MacOS 10.4.... If there's a site somewhere with an older version, that could work...

I have tried both, obviously
