Itunes troubles

I recently had to wipe my mac os x version 10, I plugged my ipod into my computer after I wiped my mac and set my stuff back up,and it wants to destory EVERYTHING on my ipod and sync the new empty library into my ipod...and I cant make it sync my ipods library into it,it keeps saying my library is already synced to one. Anybody know how to fix this issue?
