USB not recognizing blackberry on 2007 Macbook

If I try to use Blackberry Desktop for Mac, I plug my BB curve into the USB, my MAC will recognize the SD card in the phone, but the BB desktop does not recognize that the phone is 'plugged in'. If I go through the 'about this mac' menu in the top left, the phone is recognized. If have tried updating the software as well as making sure the phone is up to date.

Any help is appreciated....

what version of Blackberry desktop do you have ?

I had a similar problem with my bold...the USB cable wouldn't charge it.

After updating to version 2.0.0 build 65 my bold now works.

I have the same version, Version 2.0.0 (build 65). I just tried again and my phone asks to turn on Mass Storage then the BB icon for my SD card show on my desktop but BB Desktop Manager still tells me that my blackberry is not connected.
