NSTabViewItem toolTip?

Well the class references appears to indicate so
http://developer.apple.com/library/m...c/uid/20000366

yet the class browser from xcode (3.0) doesn't have it. Bummer; I was
looking for such a toolTip when the label gets truncated after sizing.

Any ideas, or is the this fixed in a later release [I'm sticking with
3.0 for now due to debugger issues on PPC].

well I settled on tabView delegate to use a condensed label when not
selected and expanded otherwise. It's brute force but it works.
