Application finder won't open

When I click on my application finder is just relates to me that it will not open and gives a # -10810. Also since this began a few days I guess, I am not able to restart or shut down the computer. I have a mac book pro. and am using safari. Thanks for any help.

You could download OnyX and use it to rebuild the LaunchServices. You might want to add which operating system you're using, as well. It will make it easier for others to give you a hand.

Have you tried pressing this keyboard combo:

Opt + Command + Esc

This brings up the "Force Quit Applications" window. Select Finder and click 'Relaunch"
