Why is my Mac screen blurry

Hi everyone,

I have a Mac Book Pro 15" purchased in February 2009.

I recently bought a mini-display port to HDMI adaptor cord to watch videos through my HD Television.

When I unplugged the computer from the tv, the screen on the Mac now looks blurry, the picture is not very sharp.

Does anyone know why this happens? Does anyone know how to fix?
