Issue with PDF and online forms

Hi,

I now have my first Mac book and its great, but i have problems in opening some PDF files online and working through automated personal information systems where by my mac hangs during validation of information.
I know its not the web sites that are causing the problem because they allow information to flow ok on windows.

I have looked through my settings but am unable to find anything to adjust for it.

Does anyone have an idea what i need to do?
