Internet Connecting Problem

When ever I open my macbook pro, OS X 10.5.8, a message pops up, saying

'INTERNET CONNECT

Could not open the communication device'

The internet won't work until I click okay. Although this isn't a major problem, it is extremely annoying! It usually pops up 3 times before it goes away.

Any help would be awesome!!
