Recently purchased a new IMAC. I have loaded all my tunes, apps etc on to itunes by using my back up discs. Now I want to update my touch and old ipod which are both windows formatted and I am very unsure of the best way to go.

Please could someone let me know the best way to go?

petes girl your iPod/ Touch will be formated as ms-dos fat32 you should be able to just plug it into a USB port it will appear on your desktop & open iTunes under Devices clicking the icon will open it, you should be able to update it from this page.
