Power Mac G4 M5183 failing to show desktop icons and work!
Hello All you Mac experts (I hope). Be very grateful if you might be able to help. My Mac G4 isn't starting up properly. Keeps coming with up with an error message which it clears when having checked itself. Goes through to the desktop screen and shows the wallpaper and the correct time on the clock but the cursor goes from being an arrow to a wrist-watch and that's it. My techical ability goes as far as switching it off which takes you back to the beginning of this cycle. I'm not very profcient at these sorts of things and would love some advice.
