Updating problems Imac OS 9.1 to OS 9.2

Hi,

A friend of mine has an Imac 400 which we successfully updated from OS 9 to OS 9.1.
Now we want to update from 9.1 to 9.2.1, we downloaded the software from http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120030 and get an error message -127. I tried several times.

Any ideas ?

Did you get that error message when you tried to download, install 9.2.1, or when you or your Mac tried opening the Mac OS 9.2.2 Update.smi.bin?
I think that error message has to do with an internal file system error and might be able to be fixed by repairing the disc and it's permissions. However, I'm not sure if you can do that in OS9 unless OSX is installed as well. Perhaps someone with more knowledge about OS9 will chime in. Incidentally, have you considered upgrading to Panther? I believe that Panther will run on an iMac 400.
